i think it may need a bit of a cool down during the winter time but i could be wrong. think it can tolerate lower temps than most phals.

also depending on the orchids you'll need some shade cloth.

its rather tricky getting a greenhouse up and running year round for orchids...

well Morrison's, asda, b&q plus others sell phals and some other types most are in bark afaik.

bought a white phal for £5 yesterday from morrisons, you cant go wrong at those prices.

mine has just flowered, it smells very nice even though theres only a few flowers. nice thing about them is that they seem to tolerate the cold well.

I put my plants mostly back in the greenhouse a few weeks ago, most are ok. might have been a mistake as it was minus 6c the other day, hopefully it will continue to be warmer from now on.

it really depends on your growing conditions.

bark can be a bit of a chore if you have hot and dry conditions a lot and find watering a chore....

ive had plants damaged by mites that have had the black stippling on leaves so it might be ok.

probably a good idea to keep a watchfully eye on it and keep it separate from your other plants...
