Yeah I wouldnt worry about the old shriveled bulbs. I have a C chlorochilon and 2 other catasetums and I just leave the old spent bulbs be.

Not familiar with the exact kind you have in the pic,...

I have a C. Punctatum that is about 4 or 5 years old. It is getting bigger every year but I have yet to see it bloom. Are any of you familiar with its care requirements?
