This is a small to medium-sized cattleya. It was re-bred by a local amateur a few years ago. Here it usually blooms in the summer, but may bloom again in the fall....

Vanda tessellata var. alba

This orchid comes from Thailand. It prefers a warm and sunny climate. In my garden it's doing well so far.

The tree blooms in early summer. Here they are widely planted in streets, parks and river banks. The flowers have a pleasant fragrance, which can be smelled when walking under the trees....

I did not check carefully but there were no obvious old spikes nor fruits. It is a natural park which is not far away from my home. I will observe them next time.

They have purple-black pseudobulbs, which is one of the common characteristics of orchids. But I couldn't find the flowers and couldn't determine their names. Many terrestrial orchids look so alike.
