Default Orchids of the Everglades NP, USA

I downloaded the plant list from the official Park Service web site for the Everglades NP and believe it or not, there are 41 species positively identified (located) within the park. Only one of these is the famed Ghost Orchid. The list makes a fantastic "want list"

Check it out under Orchidaceae section of this link

http://www.nps.gov/ever/naturescienc...ant%20List.pdf

It's 71 pages, so you have to scroll quite a ways down.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

ooooh!! Nice find! You can teach a field course in Botany with that paper! I'm moving this to the scientific matters forum. See, science can be fun at times.
