High Humidity Orchids
What are some high humidity small orchids that i could place in a paludarium?  I should also say that i would like to find ones with unique odd looking flowers, not typical flower looking ones, but ones that look like jewelry/insects/objects/ or something along those lines. It will have other plants, so it will be crowded.  Just name the Genus, and i will do the rest of the research looking for the right look.*  Thanks for the help guys, im looking forward to learning alot about orchids from this site.  -Aaron

Aerangis or Angraecum are two good choices.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

Look into pleurothallids (pleurothallis, restrepias, draculas, masdevallias, etc.). There are hundreds of species here in many genera that are miniature and grow in cloud and rain forests. I found a sobralia with a 1" flower on a plant 2" high!

Sweet thanks guys, im also looking for ones with very interesting flowers, the ones that dont look much like flowers at all.

You might want to look into Bulbophyllums, Cirrhopetalums. The blooms are different.

I would suggest the following Condylago rodrigoi, Lepanthes calodictyon - for foliage, Myoxanthus cimex, punctatus and raymondii, Pleurothallis scheidei - fringed, Pleurothallis amparoana, cyprepedioides, flexuosa, hirsuta, and imrae - little hairy toilet seats, any Ponthevia, any Porroglossum - hinged trapdoor lips, Telepogons - if you can find any for sale (and let me know where if you do) - some odd insect mimics here and Trichoceros - also insect mimics and somewhat easier to find.

Lol imrae, little hairy toilet seats, cant wait to look at that one later tonight when i have time, thanks for all the info, i will look at every single one, btw, you havn't tried AsiaticGreen.com have you? its an online orchid store from china or something, they have a hefty minimum order for people out of their country, 100 dollars, and alot of other fee's and high shipping.

Looked at any of the Draculas lately? They're pretty odd and quirky and sometimes just down right scary looking.

Lepanthes sp. ,Dichaea sp.,Pleurothallids in general,Polyradicon (ghost orchid),Telipogons are not easy plants ,unfortunately,I've tried a couple times from plants I bought in Panama.They must have "swirling chill-mists".Not something easily done.
Anyway,you have a lot of choices, if light and temperature are also within limits.
