Another place to look for agar is organic health food stores. That's the only place I've seen some where I live.

Hey,
I wrote a reply a few days ago, but apparently I messed it up because it is not posted.
In the US many of us get our orchid lab supplies from Phytotech. They have an Australian distributor. I don't know what products they have or what the prices are like. The URL is Austratec
