That white is truly nice to look at.
I'll be looking forward to the pics of the pink when it opens.
Well, the pink pot is about 35 cm diameter, and there's 8 - 10 plants in there. I do like larger specimen plants. Those pink ones were actually rescue ones, and 18 months ago they were almost dead canes.

There is nothing like the reward of seeing a rescued orchid come into bloom...again!
Seven of mine (my Dend and 6 of my Phals) are either rescued (heavily discounted at a box store) or were orphaned when a neighbor moved.

I went through them all being very small and limited blooms their first season.
But years later they, and their babies, have reached great size and throw off good numbers of blooms.

I kinda favor these guys over any gifted or purchased ones I have.

I am curious as to how you can get the Den Phals to not have a bunch of leafless canes. All my Den Phals have leafless canes, as many or more than the canes that have leaves on them.

Well, when I got them they were in a very bad state, and the old canes were dead, so I pulled them off as they were rotting, and threw them out . A couple of the other rescues do have old canes, and even in the pink there are a couple of small ones.. The pink pot is mostly this year's growth. I suspect they will be so crammed together that I will have to remove half of them when I repot.
One hard cane in another pot is about two feet tall, and that's without the spike.
