Welcome to the Orchid Board! We look forward to hearing about your plants.

I haven't grown this genus, but most orchids require specialized laboratory techniques to grow from seed. Brief reading on Ophrys shows it requires a symbiotic fungus to survive. Unless you're already accustomed to growing orchids from seed, this would be an extremely difficult plant to begin with.

If you're interested, I sent some seed of Ophrys vernixia to Troy Meyers, and they have germinated. Not sure how many would be ahead of you, but getting in line for a flask would be an easier way to go. Vernixia is not as flashy as apifera, but it's definitely a bee mimic.
