Default DIY flasking or finding professionals?

I guess as most orchidists do, at some point I decided to give hybridising a whirl. I pollinated a L/C/S purpurata with C labiata, and with a bit of luck she might just send out a pod. That being said, I have virtually no idea what to do after the pod comes out. I've been looking everywhere and apparently it's possible to do flashing at home, albeit a bit clumsy, risky and expensive. Or I can send it off somewhere and have someone grow it for me. But since I'm in Hong Kong, there aren't a great many accessible flasking companies due to import laws and such.

So. Should I try growing them at home, or is anyone familiar with companies that can flask in the Asia/Pacific region?

It is not that expensive to start. You can use lots of commodity items. Pressure cooker, measuring cups, coffee filter papers, glass bottles (e.g. from spaghetti sauce), bleach etc. Clean box can be easily made. Once you get into it, you may want to get a pH meter and better balance. But you can start without them.

It may fail for the first couple times, but it is not particularly difficult, neither. I think that you should give it a try. I found that this book is the easiest to understand and it is concisely written:
