Smile seed germination

I tried my hand at flasking, and had the Cattleya Jenmanii germinate. I seeded them the first week of Aug. I thought I wasn't going to see anything then a couple of weeks ago I saw a couple of green spots.

I have nothing in the other flasks of Cattleyas that I can see, maybe I will have to wait a little longer. I think it might be a bit cool for them, I try to keep them above 70 but that can be a challenge. I am happy with the Jenmanii germinating.

Thanks Barb

Post pictures of your little babies when they are large enough to see.

Congrats again!

Congratulation. Take some pictures for fun... Transfer to a new medium when the protocorms have 2 leaves and roots.

I will post some pics when they are a bit bigger, I don't think they will be big enough for a while. Thanks for the advice on the 2 leaves, I would have been on line asking more questions, probably will be anyway. Reflasking is where I am afraid I might have problems.
