Keiki- My Phalaenopsis keeps giving birth! Male
Default Keiki- My Phalaenopsis keeps giving birth!

I am wondering a couple things... My Phalaenopsis has given me 3 Keiki's in the last 7 months. I received this orchid from a lady here in Edmonton. She said that it was a Keiki from her Mother orchid. She has gotten roughly 30 Keikis in the last few years and it doesn't stop blooming and supplying Keiki's. Does anyone have any information that they can tell me about the orchid. (No photo of the flower yet as the buds are nearing bloom again) Is it normal for it to keep blooming and giving me these little guys? From reading it says that they do it due to stress. It is in very good health with nice looking roots so I don't think that is my issue. Pictures Attached.

An orchid can grow keikis becauseit's in their genes, the crown is damaged, or it is extremely sick and weak.

Oh by the way, does it have a label? If not, the most we can tell you is that it's a NOID phal hybrid.

If the plant is healthy and it makes keikis, I wouldn't worry too much.

Some Phals, notably equestris and often it's hybrids, are known keiki machines. If the plant is healthy, it's nothing to worry about, other than running out of people you can give keikis to
