Polystachya paniculata in bloom and pregnant!

I have a blooming Polystachya paniculata. This orchid is found growing in the forest of Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, Uganda and Zaire. I am growing this in a mix of fine fir bark, charcoal and lava rock with bright shaded light and intermediate to warm temperatures. I have seen this plant mounted. I give it lots of water during the summer but I reduce watering during the winter (about December 15 to mid-February); watering only about every two weeks.
This spiked again and opened its blooms this month; but two months ago, the older pseudo bulb had also bloomed and just as I was about to cut the old dried spike; I saw three tiny pods and at first I thought it was a bug and I was going to squish it with my pinchers…but I looked again closer…I got three baby pods! My Polystachya paniculata is pregnant! I had to do instant research and it will burst seeds in about mid-April. I will just have to learn how to flask…

You betcha, Ben ! Once your seedling matures, it will keep on flowering...theres no stopping it...they dont only produce basal keikis ... some flowers get pregnant and give you pods

I wonder if you could just sprinkle some seeds on top of the media in the same pot.

In natural habitat the seed pods burst open and is flown by the winds scattered in different directions. Some get to grow and some just die ...
since it is in a pot in my windowsill, it will burst and get scattered to the table and die...
In March, I will start to cover the pods with a tiny plastic and will let it burst in the plastic and save all the seeds for flasking(I have researched how to flask and bought the materials for it in preparation)

Indeed very cool. What ever in the world happened with the seeds. Are there other posts about it?
