Default Deflasking BRASSAVOLA NODOSA Today!

My flask of Brassavola Nodosa just arrived...and I'm anxiously preparing myself to deflask!! Wish me luck!

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

There is high humidity inside of flask. When you deflask it's better to provide high humidity environment . Seedlings will grow very fast. See the picture below. Cheers.

Newflasker-If that's a salad container in your picture, then we're using the same thing!

But I think I deflasked too early, but I obviously cannot undo it, so.....we'll see...

Hi DasEmpress,
Yep, it's a salad container. In stead off recycle them I reuse them for orchid seedlings. You and I have the same idea. I spray every 2 day and I can see the leaves grow up everyday.

Update:
It's been 3 days, and my too-early deflasked midgets are still alive and kicking..amazingly. Some have even attached themselves to the bed of spag...!
