Bletilla ochracea - small experiment

The bletilla striata on sphagnum boiled germinates easily, but unfortunately no other bletilla.
I tried to use an alternative source of carbon and so the Bletilla ochracea are germinated:

1 ml / l of Siapton L10 (biostimulant product, based on amino acids and short chain peptides).

but I think you can use any product that has these characteristics:

Nitrogen (N) 8.5%
Nitrogen (N) 8.5% water soluble
Carbon (C) 25% organic

I have a Bletilla ochracea that bloomed this year and it appears three flowers were pollinated. Is the flower/plant of enough interest to try and germinate the seed pods? Any idea how long from germonation until a blooming size plant ??

In my experience, germinating seed ex vitro is not the challenge. It's the growing on to a self-sustaining size plant that is the hard part. Keep us updated on your progress.

Thanks for sharing the picture. Hope you get some big sprouts out of those little ones. It's an amazing process and this is a nice reminder of how orchids start.
