Phalaenopsis has small keikis but the host plant is dying.

One of my favorite Phals is dying. It has 2 small keikis on the stem. The keikis have not yet put off roots. Is there any way to take a stem cutting and save the keikis? I have attached pictures for any advice.

I guess you could check out the roots on the mother plant and if in good shape, just keep watering and feeding and maybe in 6 months you'll have 2 new plants. The crown still has some green so maybe....

I agree with Doc. If the roots on the mother plant are still good then I would keep watering and feeding it while the keikis grow.

I have heard of someone growing a keiki from a spike in a glass of water and if the roots are bad then that possibly the best bet.

I would keep an eye on the roots and while they are good leave the spikes on the mother so they can get the benefit of the roots. If the roots die then you may be best to see if you can grow them with the spike in water.

It looks like the roots of the mother plant are dying too. Would you suggest that i just clip off the spike and put it in just water? Is there anything else I need to do?
