Default Symbiotic propagation

Hi folks! Look at these pics showing C. forbesii seeds symbiotic germination. The seeds were mixed with water than smeared over a 'jatobá' (Hymenaea courbaril) piece of trunk, when a C. walkeriana was growing, and over a pinus 'knot' (I don't know the correct word in english), when two C violacea were growing. The 'chids and pics belongs to Vicente Melo, from Maricá, state of Rio de Janeiro, and were posted after his kindly permission.
A nature's gift for orchids lovers!

So the seedlings in the wild depend on the Mycorhizal symbiosis that already exisits in the adults to be able to germinate??? I've read very little about this, and its cool to see it in a pic like this. Thanks for sharing. Crazy roots!!!!

Thats a good question, unless the plant only got watered via fog/mist. :Hmm

Yes, but even heavy fog is not enough for this plant? I think. It need to be watered somehow.
