Default I have some seed to share - interested?

I have stockpiled some Bletilla striata seed and I'll never sow it all. It's viable seed and would be great to work on your flasking technique (it wouldn't be tragic if it failed for some reason like contamination).

I also just harvested a bunch of Phaius tankervillae seed capsules, they are just about ready to package up. I haven't sown any of these yet so I can't speak to their viability. There is also a possibility that I may have some others to share, but not in such quantity.

Anybody interested?

If you're just giving them away...I don't mind some Bletilla striata.

If I'm successful, it'll keep my lone Bletilla striata company!

Hi Royal,

I am interested in some seed. Bletilla is a terrestial isn't it? I've never tried flasking a terrestial. Can I use the same media I would use for phals and catts?
I have some Murashige & Skoog on hand but I can order something else.

Thanks!

Bletilla seed will germinate on just about anything. M&S would be fine. These seeds have been germinating within a few weeks on every media I throw them onto.

Check out these Phaius tankervillae capsules.

Nice! Those are some fat Phaius tankervillae seed pods.

Unfortunately I don't have enough flasks as I'm about to sow a lot of incoming seeds.

I also worry about the adult size of the Phaius tankervillae.

Thank you for the Bletilla striata seeds, it is very generous of you.

I germinated Bletilla striata seeds from RoyalOrchids about a month ago. Now I see tiny green dots in flask. You will not disappoint these seeds. Thank RoyalOrchids. Cheers.

Well, I hope I don't disappoint the Bletilla striata seeds. Then they wouldn't germinate!

Out of curiosity, newflasker, how long did it take for the Bletilla striata seeds to germinate for you?

King_of_Orchid,
RoyalOrchids gave me Bletilla seeds last month. It takes me about 1 month to see green dots. Hope it keeps growing well.
