Phaius Flava keiki? can I flask it?

Hi Everyone

I think I have a Phaius Flava keiki growing on the side of an old psuedobulb. Can I flask it in some meristem media? How much bigger would I need to let if get to do that?

I guess I would have to cut a small part of the bulb with the growth. I want to flask it as it is easier to deal with Australian customs with flasks.

I'm definitely no expert on cloning, but I'm trying to clone a close cousin of Phaius...Calanthe. Specifically Calanthe cardioglossa.

While I've been able to have success growing the new shoots to a large size, I'm frustrated that sometimes they end up dying.

I got fed up and put an entire pseudobulb with two meristems in flask (after cleaning it up thoroughly of course). Hasn't croaked yet...

So all I have to say is - go for it! We'll see if something cool happens.
