Default Am I seeing this? Catt Keiki?

Is this a keiki growing from the inflorescence of this Catt? (Lc.Red Gold X C. Warpaint: Gold Digger "Fuch's Mandarin") - pic attached.
Will it sprout roots? I would be interested in potting it just to see what happens if it is a true keiki and not some strange genetic anomaly.

Nope, not a keiki at all, looks like your catt has a seed pod!

Oh my! I feel like such the proud parent... but what to do?
I've never had one do this. Any recommendations on how to proceed?

when did the plant finish blooming? It'll give an idea how far from maturity the pod is. I've never had pods so can't tell from the looks of it how far it is. You can either sow seeds from a green pod (don't know at what age though) or dry seeds from a mature pod. In that case the trick seems to be harvesting the pod before it opens and releases the seeds, which are a very fine powder
To sow the seeds you need a special growing medium in jars, completely sterilized, with sterilized seeds and sterile conditions. Not the easiest thing to do, so you could always send the seeds to a lab to be flasked. Or you can have fun and attempt to do it yourself! There are several people here that have experience with it.

It finished blooming in October, and I just now noticed the pod (she's been enjoying some backyard neglect now that the weather is warm here in Texas).
the pod is still pretty green, not showing signs of maturation just yet.
Thanks for the help - I've got some planning to do!
