Default question about phal cross

i crossed a phal. (buena 'cerise sparks' x brother purple 'brother') and a dtps. beauty sheen 'rin rin'. the phal is the mother plant. has anyone have any experience with this cross. i have never had any experience with flasking and replating.how long does it take for the pod to mature. how will the cross be classified.

Hello cullenperry
It will be classified as a Dtps. any Phal. X Dtps , or the other way around will be an Dtps.
Now to your question about time frame on seed pod.
Depends greatly were you live and the climate there.
I use to live near Byron Bay, Australia. it use to take any where from months to 12 months for pods to matur.
Now I am liveing In townsville Australia i have had pods ripen in 4 months dry seed.Something that use to take me 9 months to get dry seed from now only takes 4 to 5 months .
the picture of your pods are great. keep up the good work .

Aussie - they have now classified Doritis (and Doritaenopsis) as Phalaenopsis but many keep the Doritis and Dtps. names and abbreviations.
See this past thread - Taxonomy question?
