Cool Flasking Company

Hey, guys, I just tried some crossbreeding on some phals as an experiment, and I got it down. They're just about ready to send out and have flasked. I live in Florida, so does anyone have a recommendation on where to send it?

Contact Shane at Orchid Origins in Saint John’s Michigan. You can find them and others under the category of Labs on OrchidWire.com

best of luck on your lab search! one little experience we could share, since we also are new to breeding and finding labs; if you got good seed, try contacting 2 different labs and sending seed to both. we have found there is a great variation in flasking services and abilities, as well as specialisations, etc. communication varies between labs also, with some being good about updating and pictures, and some not so much. you will want updates and communication as the process can get long and you can feel detached from your hard work....basically, there is a lot of trust involved and i know how you can feel about your cross!!

finally, many have told us (and we have read it in other places) to only list your cross as "phal x phal" when you send it out, and do not list the exact parents.

best of luck!! you have a few good options in the states! have you thought about asking if dorchid might be interested?? if the cross is good you should have enough to send out to at least 2 different labs

Try Meyers Conservatory.
They will sow dry seed and send back a minimum of 3 flasks.
