Phalaenopsis bellina spike question

Hello,

My Phal Bellina is spiking. How long does it typically take for the flower to develop? I keep her at about 79 F during the day and 69 F at night. She's mounted on cork. Thank you!

My rule-of-thumb is about 6 weeks.

I do recommend that you increase the temperature. Phal. bellina is a definite "hot" grower.

Will do and thanks!

So do you have a progress report, it's been 8 weeks? :)

I bumped the temps up to 83-85 F during the day and low 70's at night and while the spike has grown quite a bit, there's no bloom yet. She's decided to put out a new leaf though. I guess I have to be patient. :)

I also have a phal valentinii with one existing spike and a brand new one that's just coming out.

Yeah, I was thinking six weeks might have been a bit optimistic. Glad things are going well though.
