White like cotton wool on orchids

Hi I am new to this site and this is my first post, I bought some orchids for my darling Wife last year, only one out of the 8 is still in flower, and know I have a lot of cotton wool over the plants, can anyone tell me what to do please. w.bishop@blueyonder.co.uk

Hi W :waving

Sounds like it could be mealie bugs...or maybe scale.
Can you post a picture?

The resizing is most important, should be done prior to uploading any :photo:

I went to my local gardening centre and they told me that they were wooly aphids, they sold me Baby Bio house plant insecticide, they seem to have all gone.
Thank you to Susanne B I did not manage to take a photo too complicated for me, I am 71 years young, I can not even set up my TV recorder I bought 18 months ago.
