Identify this leaf (disease) or what is this?

I am reposting now that my photos are working. What is this on the leaf? you can see it has grown a bit since last week or two weeks since I took the first photo. What is this? is this the beginning of a virus or is their any measures I should take now to prevent the decline of this phal? It is a lovely peach I have not seen the bloom . Thanks in advance.http://broadwaylion.com/Llewellyn/spotleaf1.jpghttp://broadwaylion.com/Llewellyn/spotleaf2.jpg

I would doubt virus... you would not see a "beginning of a virus", when a plant is affected it is more likely to slowly decline. This looks to me like it might be a bacterial or fungal issue, of the sort that develops when cold water sits on a leaf.

Thank you so much that is helpful to know. Am I in danger of losing the plant or this new leaf? Any helps to tips to avoid this? I often spray my plant but never toward the end of the day but maybe I should rethink my methods although it is hard to not get water on the leaf- I do hand water all.

Hard to know the prognosis without knowing the culprit. Others with more experience than I have need to weigh in. . I'd suggest watering the media rather than spritzing the plant... it absorbs water through its roots not its leaves so you want to put the water near the roots... A little water on the leaves shouldn't hurt... it's a plant after all. But if the air and water are cold could be a source of problem.

How are you growing this Phalaenopsis?

What are the parameters that this orchid is growing in?

Temperatures?

Lighting?

Humidity?

How are you watering it?

I at least know you are spraying it, but what part(s) of the plant are you spraying?

How long have you had it?

When did you start seeing this problem?

If you lose 1 leaf, that is not a big deal. It is a bigger deal if you start losing roots.

How are the roots?
