Best Wood for mounting outside orchids?

Hello everyone. Just wanted to get everyone's suggestions regarding what, in your opinion, is your preferred wood for mounting outside orchids. Oh, the orchids I"m planning to mount are phalaenopsis.

Which wood and why? I have my eye on some beautiful slabs of Osage wood or Applewood I saw on E-bay.

I live is Miami so it's very humid down here.

Thanks in advance for your comments and suggestions.:waving

Cedar shakes make great mounting platforms. It certainly lasts a long time.
