It's hard to call this one a Phal, the heck with the DNA. It's looking good this year with two nice, full spikes.

Whoa!

What a cutie! I just bought one, now I can't wait.

Wow, that plant looks amazing! Have you had the plant for a long time for it to produce such large spikes?

I got one last summer, and it doesn't seem in a rush to bloom for me. It's growing leaves and roots, but no spikes.

Me too, I have a really hard time calling it a Phal. I'm curious to see the phylogenetic tree that helped reclassify it (assuming that's how it was done). Could be that scientists are just really conservative in the cut-off values they use to decide if it's a separate genus or not.

Wow, that's a huge amount of blooms - mine is just finishing it's first spike but there is a second on it's way. Yours must smell so strongly too with all the blooms.

Beautiful! How is the fragrance? I have a couple of minmaru and hoping for a spike soon. I love the look of their flowers.

mine has just flowered, it smells very nice even though theres only a few flowers. nice thing about them is that they seem to tolerate the cold well.

I purchased this plant in 2009. It didn't bloom much for the first 2 or 3 years, but it has been quite reliable since then, and I've had these double spikes more than once. I keep it in an indoor "greenhouse" where it enjoys good humidity, lots of light, and temps ranging from 65 to 80 F.

Right now it is out in my living room to show off, and the whole room smells citrusy :).
