Why does my orchid produce nodes instead of buds?

I have this phalaenopsis tetraspis c1 that keeps on producing nodes instead of bulbs on its flower spike. It has been doing that for more than a year and had since formed more than 30nodes in place of flowers. May I know why does it do that and what can I do to solve this problem?

Wow, that is strange. I have never had one of these so I can't be of help. The plant looks good and healthy.

I have a tetraspis c1 hybrid that does exactly the same - four spikes and not a bloom. I have no idea why or how to solve it either.

What are your temps in the room?

Around 28-30 degrees Celsius in the day and 22-24 degrees Celsius at night

And do you fertilize it? If so, how and how much?
The fert brand name would be useful (or the NPK values).

Has the plant ever produced flowers?
It is possible that it could a genetic mutation and a possible dud... it happens.

What about light levels? Phal pulchra is an example of Phal where blooming is influenced by light. If the light isn't bright enough the spikes produce keikis instead of flowers.

Yeah could be but it did flower before. Btw there are actually small buds inside the nodes just that they turned brown before the plant could develop them.

I place it on a window ledge where it receives indirect sunlight throughout the day (around 11-12 hours of daylight). It does not receive any direct sunlight at all and my window is slightly tinted.

does humidity affect too? Although RH is high during the day at around 70-80%, it drops to around 55-60% at night as I turn on the air-con every night.

As suggested before, it could very well be a dud plant, those do happen unfortunately. It looks like there are the bracts that usually cover the base of the pedoncle. Is there anything else there? Shriveled undeveloped lumps or just nothing under those bracts?
