storing cymb pollinia??

hey guys so here's the scoop
URI's greenhouses have a few cymbs and in spring the manager of the plants said he would leave seed pods on cymbs if they formed
so i pollinated them and a few pods formed (yay) but he still removed them (sadness)
well now flower buds are once again forming on them
i also have my own cymb now but it has yet to bloom
is there a way to remove and store the pollinia of the greenhouse cymbs to use later when my cymb blooms??

Yes, it can be stored. Many have success with using a fresh toothpick to gently remove the fresh pollinia, placing it on wax paper or plain paper, folding it carefully and storing it in the refrigerator with the name on the wrapper.

I cannot answer that for cymbidiums, but I have successfully (over successfully) pollinated warczewiczella flowers with pollinia stored for about a year that way.

About a year for Cyms. too in my experience. Some say it can also be frozen but I have not tried that.
