Hi from Central Coast, NSW
 

Hi everyone. My name is Arron and I have had a small collection of orchids which have struggled along for years. My interest has been renewed because we have just moved from NW Sydney to Pretty Beach on the Central Coast. Although it’s only about 50 km as the crow flies it’s a much more benign microclimate so I’m keen to try out all the types I failed with before.

My interests are hybrid cattleyas, cool-growing laelias and members of the oncidium alliance.

welcome! I love those cattleyas too, but I am afraid I wont be much help for you....I am in texas, north of Amarillo....

Our temps might be somewhat similar so you might be able to grow many of the same orchids as me. Here are some pics of my orchids. I grow all my orchids outside year around. Most winters are frost-free and summers can be pretty toasty.
