My unintentional pollinator garden

Order seeds, sow too thickly, plant mistakes...

That looks great. They're much prettier crowded together than planted in rows.
You can save seed of the different Celosia for next year. My great aunt kept her strains going for decades. |
There's a bird bath in the middle that you can't see.
|
I bet the birds can find it.
|
I'm with ES...I prefer the crowded group look over a more sparse planting arrangement. I think it looks beautiful!

Thank you. Around the perimeter are about 40+- plants of Butterfly weed (Asclepsia tuberosa) for the Monarchs and oddles of tall antique marigolds. It's pretty wild and wooly. Throw in some dill for a nice arrangement.

I love it and I see your birdbath! The birds must enjoy their private spa. My old leaky birdbath became a succulent garden this year, just couldn't bring myself to toss it away.
Your arrangement is beautiful in the watering can! Nothing wrong with wild and woolly, it looks much more natural. |
I also like your arrangement.:)
I don't know if birds eat those seeds but bath and food in the same location is a paradise for any animal in nature, I think. |
We joke that one robin bathing can empty an entire birdbath! The garden has bluebird houses, so they lend entertainment too. Thanks for the compliments, it's not polished around here but we have made almost every effort to be good stewards of what we've been given.
