Simulcasting video onto screen
Our club will be having a demonstration at the next meeting. The presenter wants to have a camera pointing at the table, projected onto a screen, so the audience can see what he is doing more closely.
We have a laptop, projector and cables, so we have the ability to mirror the laptop display to the screen. This is how our speakers normally give their presentations. We have Webcams that will plug into the laptop. This would be a possibility, but I don't know whether the projected image would look very good. The club members' video camcorders we have looked at seem only to be able to play back something recorded, not mirror to another device. How have other people handled this situation? |
There is a way to set your computer on "mirror images" under "displays", there is a box to check. I use linux but I'm sure Windows has the same thing. I hooked up my old tv to my computer and that is how I get it to show up.

Maybe replace the projector and screen by a large screen tv connected to the laptop via HDMI.

Maybe I'm not clear. We already have the ability to project the laptop display to the screen. I'm asking for suggestions of what is the best kind of camera to plug into the laptop.

Well, in that case I'm affraid I can't help you. I'm not updated on cameras. Sorry.
