Can a keiki have no leaves?

Hi everyone,

I have tried googling this up and down and cannot find anything like what is going on with my phalaenopsis. I have roots, two really long healthy roots and a long shoot with flowers growing on it coming off an old shoot. There are no leaves, just roots and flowers. Will this grow leaves and turn in to a Keiki? Should I try transplanting it after the flowers are done?

It may turn into real keiki or it may not. Someone on here coined the term "speiki." I have a Den. moniliforme that regularly does this; once the flowers fade it becomes a full-fledged keiki, but your Phal may be different.

Thank you for that information! I'm looking forward to seeing what it does :)
