Vanilla albida

The species is also found in low mountainous area of Taiwan. The young plant grows in the ground and climb to trees when it becomes mature.

Thanks. The vine -like orchid could be found very near the farms or villages. I had ever seen them in deserted buildings.

Could they be a "fast growing" orchid? I always laugh when I see them for sale here... these little cuttings that eventually get to how many meters long vine...

It seems to grow fast than other orchids. In the wild, we can see some huge plants, more than meters long, climbing on the cliff or big trees.

You could grow them on a trellis. I tried to and got a 5 foot vine on a two and a half foot trellis. Now its on a wooden dowel approaching 10 ft. Growing vanilla orchids on a trellis and wrapping is around as it grows allows you to maximize the surface area you have available. Getting it to flower is a different thing altogether...
