Marty is the owner/administrator of the Orchid Board. Various life encroachments apparently forced him to be away for a while, and it was his unfortunate, though understandable, absence which indirectly led to the recent problems we've experienced here. Likewise, it is his return which has resulted in the various background upgrades which are getting the Orchid Board rebuilt and recovered. Right now we're seeing some short-term minor issues which are a result of the rebuilds, including the presently missing "LIKE" button, which I hope returns.
Despite the various outside (outside the OB) issues Marty has been dealing with, as soon as he learned of the state of the OB he came back and dove head-first into the complex tasks of getting the OB taken care of.
Given the importance of the OB to so many of us, I feel that we all owe Marty our thanks for his great efforts. On a more important tone, however, I sincerely hope that Marty is personally hale and hardy, and all is well for him. |
