lepanthes propagation

Has anyone have had success with propagating lepanthes teliponglifora?

I've got one growing in my vivarium with six spikes - it's growing like a weed. In my opinion, it's not quite ready for splitting but I want to be ready when the time comes. Another issue is that the roots are well dug into the cork medium which may present problems with splitting.

I have heard that they do not like to have their roots disturbed so ripping it off of a mount might not be a great idea. Maybe you can let it climb up on another mount and then divide it. Or, perhaps contact Andy of Andy's Orchids and ask him for advice. I'm sure he has divided many Lepanthes. Good luck!

Thanks, I didn't realize he would be responsive to questions. I'll give it a try. and let everyone know how it turns out.
