Seedling Lycaste and Trichopilia growth
Should well-grown seedling Lycaste and Trichopilia plants make several successive growths per season, or just one new growth per plant?

Have no idea, but I would love to see pics if you have😃 Still will not be able to answer your question, I just want to see how seedlings of that specie look like😎

Group photo, posed on a concrete capstone 8" x 16" x 1" / 20.3 x 40.6 x 2.5cm, left to right: Lycaste Lemon Twist x Kitty Crocker 'Newberry', Carter & Holmes 10003/25 Trichopilia suavis '#2' x '#1', Carter & Holmes 10030/25 Trichopilia tortilis x sib, Carter & Holmes 10060/25 It seems that when posting multiple photos, the order often gets rearranged by Orchid Board software, and so it happened here. Each photo below has a clear file name. The Lycaste has the lightest green leaves and has two pseudobulbs. The suavis is larger than the tortilis and has three pseudobulbs. The tortilis has more pseudobulbs and is making a new growth. Carter & Holmes print dates on each label. I'm guessing that is when the plant was moved into the pot. They are: Lycaste 9/27/14 (!) T. suavis 3/19/15 T. tortilis 4/17/15 |
