Yet More Phalaenopsis NoIDs -- who's up for it?!?

Got three for you here -- first one I have tentatively ID'd as Sin Yuan Golden Beauty -- what do you think?

2nd one is a mini which at its peak had over 40 blooms over 2 spikes and looked AMAZING... thought there might be a chance of a positive ID 'cause it's quite distinctive and, well, minis are easier to ID, right? Heh.

The 3rd I just bought today (at Costco, of all places!), and was so different and distinctive that I'm highly optimistic for at least some kind of clue... maybe... ?

Anyways, here are the photos... and good luck!

Third one looks like a lycaste to me. Can you send out a pic of the whole plant?

Costco would never sell Lycastes. But yes, they do sell mostly Phals which I do recognize as that third one. Just need to work on the ID more!

Unless you contact the grower/distributor and have them check their records, there's really no way to ID a noid hybrid phal. There are just too many complex crosses that look similar.

I agree. Its rather pointless to guess at the name because it isn't confirmed or official and therefor can't be shown or judged with the guessed at name. There are too many hybrids these days to even begin to have an accurate guess at a name. Just make one up with NOID behind it. Its no less beautiful.

Yeah, reckoned that would probably be the case... Time to start getting imaginative with names then, I guess!

I'm 99% positive that mini is a Newberry Be Tris. Looks exactly like my mini. Here's a pic of mine http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11...dd42762e7f.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11...48f313074b.jpg

Mine had tons of flowers too! Hope this helps!
