Hi orchid people, please give me some ideas on my problem thingy, i have a howeara lava burst red bug, and i got her in bloom. Now the blooms are gone, but putting out new ones on the spike branches. These new flowers are a lot lot lot more faded in color, no more bright red only a really faded shade of the red color. Why???

Amount of light, and temperature can affect bloom color.

Sounds like you bought it already blooming so now your environment may not be the same, hence growth is probably affected.Try to replicate same conditions or what they'd be in nature.

Pozdrav do rodneho Slovenska ;)
I also think it might be the shock of new environment, and if you provide what it needs, next season's blooms will be better.
