Anyone Looking For Kool Logs?
I have seen a few great Kool logs that members have used to mount some of their orchids with. I liked them so much I just purchased some myself . If anyone is looking for them here is the site I got mine from.

Thanks for sharing this - I know there has been some discussion about them, so great to have the link!

I've mounted several orchids on kool-logs now. So far so good, but it's only been a few months.
|
How do you feel about Kool logs for a phrag franz glanz? The man at kool logs said it should do well and he has some mounted on them.
|
I haven't tried any phrags. So I can't comment.
|
What about mounting a phrag at all, if you could keep it moist? Do mounted phrags do well?
|
Since Phrags grow along river backs, contact moisture is needed. SO I would think it would work. I would use a pretty big Kool-Log tho as moving it might be difficult in the future.
Phrags generally aren't grown mounted as far as I know. I grow mine in plastic pots sitting in 1/2 inch of water since they like "wet feet". |
What the heck. Mine is in plastic pot with mostly spag moss sitting in water. There are 2 divisions. I have had it at least a year and i think it was the same size when i got it. Maybe the leaves have gotten a little longer. I dont know how many divisions it should have before blooming. But really, same size? Might try the KL. Thanks Carrie

Funny, I just ordered one and it should be here tomorrow.
|
Collette what size and what are you going to use it for? I did three different mini guys and i am going to try the phrag.
