Cym. Litt;e Black Sambo - Should I repot?

Have had this Cym. for a while. There are 9 live PBs and 3 old PBs. It's been in a 6 inch tall plastic pot for a year. Been thinking of repotting it, but now wonder if it is big enough to be divided. It's wet because it was loaded with red ants and I dunked it in rain water to float them out.

It is big enough to be divided if you want to. Personally, I would gently loosen the outer roots and reset it in a larger pot. If the mix is only one year old, it should not be broken down and the plant should "up-pot" easily. This cross gets root bound rapidly, and you will find it easier to handle now than in another year.

Repotting Little Black Sambo

Thanks. Though tempted to divide, my original plan was simply to repot until I saw how tightly bound it was. The 'well draining' soil I used last year seems to be holding too much water, so I'll be transferring the plant to a bigger pot surrounded by some course material to aid in drainage.

Be sure to loosen the roots gently and remove with a skewer as much of the old mix as you can without disturbing the roots, as no matter how well-draining a mix you use around the edge, water will accumulate and continue to saturate the old mix in the center. This will cause die-off of the central roots and subsequent loss of that foliage.
