Some of them begin to bloom this year. The blooms are waxy and good textured.

Here is my Angraecum sesquipedale that had a bud last month that blasted. I thought that I would have to wait another year, so I was very surprised to see this pop out. I guess if the other bud did not blast I would have two flowers. Will post photo once it blooms.

Most of the time it has been learn as I go. Bought this at Waimea farmers market several years ago and never was able to get it to bloom again.
I repotted this several months ago in a bigger pot only because the mature Agreacums roots do not like to be disturbed and this can stay in the pot for several years. The medium is bark and sponge rock. I water/fertilize once a week, no urea. The rest of the week I will mist the plant.
I do use a fertilizer additive called Biowash(works on cation exchange with fertilizer and you use even less fertilizer) I also add the Biowash with misting the orchid. I am getting good results now, I even noticed that I have two Basel keiki growing on either side of mother.

From my experience, high humidity is the trick with this species. I have a very large species of sesquipedale, almost 1 meter tall. I made the error of moving it to a sunny position under shade cloth, and it dropped many of its leaves and looked haggered. So I moved it back into the greenhouse where it is warmer and humid and I am seen an improvement. So a humidity tray maybe a good idea guys if you live in a dry environment like myself.
