Deformed or siamese twins flower?
 
My inlaws know I love orchids so they bought me an orchid display with 2 orchids. They ar Phals the one with the smaller flowers has some deformed flowers check it out.

This one has 2 lips. Its like a siamese twin.

Is it normal will this plant always give me deformed flowers? I have never seen this before. Any one have a phal like this?

strange, sometimes flowers do get deformities. i do not think the next flowers will look like that.

You have a peloric flower. More often than not they are one off occasions, but in some cases they are bred to be a peloric flower. Your flower when it blooms again will most likely be normal.
A Peloric flower refers to an aberration in which a plant that normally produces zygomorphic flowers produces actinomorphic flowers instead. :waving

Thanks that explains it. But what causes this weird growth? Is it stress?
