Polystachya galeata

Really cool orchid, likes lots of sunlight. Blooming on one spike right now with a few more buds to open, one or two more spikes coming from other growths. Best part of this orchid is it's honeysuckle smell :)

Quite interesting. I have this plant but merely a seedling=and I am glad to see your blooms.
Found in Africa, the Caribbean, Florida United States, Mexico, Brazil, South East Asia, and Indonesia. I noticed the nodding flower that opens downwards with 4 pollina….this is named after its capabilities to re-bloom off of old spikes; so don’t cut it unless the spike turns brown. |
What a cute one!

Thanks everyone :)
Bud, I didn't know that about the flower spikes so thank you very much for the info! I believe galeata is African? Mine enjoys very bright sun. |
Cool!
