As regular as clockwork,it blooms Summer and Winter. It's a fairly large plant. The oldest leaf is 12.5 inches long, and the blossoms are 3.5 inches wide.

Thankyou all. I have had it for 4 years, one of my first orchids, and I get a charge every time it blooms on schedule.
Several others are blooming or about to. What a great way to relieve the gray days of winter. Nancy |
Phals are so reliable!

What kind of care do you give your Phal Pink Twilight? I had two, but I'm down to one, and its not happy. I have about 20 other Phals that do just fine. Actually Pink Twilight and Brother Goldsmith are the only two that don't seem to like me. It seems like ANY water is too much water for these guys.
:hmm |
My care for Pink Twilight is to have a wooden chopstick inserted into the pot so I can see if there is moisture in the bark in the lower part of the pot (which is a clear plastic 6 1/2 inch pot).It is 2 feet from my southeast facing bay window. When the chopstick is only slightly damp I water the plant with half and half distilled water and well water, fertilizer about every other watering.
When sun is shining directly on the windows,I close the curtains until later in the afternoon. Other than that I don't do anything special. Oncidiums are my weak point. They don't seem to like what I can provide. |
Absolutely gorgeous!! The color and shape. The pattern of the veins. The lip is very impressive. I love it! Congratulations.
