for the champagne lovers
 

my younger son is getting married! I seem to somehow have been nominated to pay for most of it, lol....ok, after paying for the hall, and hotel and plane tickets for my family, he asked if I could get the champagne! oh boy....well, at least I get to pick something nice, I cant stand that andre and korbel stuff, ugh! so I go shopping around at all the stores near where the wedding will be, and dang, korbel is the best stuff they carry and its about $12 a bottle! that will never work! finally, I went to the domaine chandon website, thinking well, I know its very good stuff, I will just see....so after perusing their selection, I called to inquire about a discount, you know, the SENIOR DISCOUNT!! lol...no, they don't have that, but they do have a club program...and with that, I get 50% off my first order! now THATS a deal! I need 4 cases of champagne, so this will cut the price down to $11 a bottle for a very good champagne! saving me around $600! whooopiee! and I can actually DRINK the stuff! the club is an automatic order deal, which is a pretty good purchase on some very fine champagnes and wines...but if you are an addict to good champagne like me, it works out fine! good champagne is wonderful, but cheap stuff is just FOUL! just thought perhaps someone here might like to know about that....check them out!

When you drive the highway to Paris across the Champagne, they advertise to have more than 40 kilometers of tunnels to produce Champagne. But the production is most lucrative business in areas where depending on the weather there are good and not so good vintages for winemakers. The not so good vintages are preferably used to make good Champagne. Same is here in my home country.
