Dark lines on Vanda Cindy Banks; sunburn or something else?

Today when I pulled down my Vanda Cindy Banks I noticed these black lines that appeared suddenly. With the tree I just lost, I have lost a lot of my shade during the day. I have moved my orchids to different spots while I wait for my shade cloth, but I think some may still be getting to much midday sun.

I have checked for pest and there aren't any I can see. My question is do you think this is a sunburn or something else?

Some fungal infections can cause damage like this - are you the person who recently had that storm tree chaos? In which case the superficial damage to the plant may have been enough to allow some fungi and/or bacteria to affect the plant; it may be worth spraying with a systemic agent to halt it.

Someone else may recognise these symptoms and give you a better diagnosis. Good luck!

It doesn't look like sunburn. It could be a fungus or bacteria infection. I find that some vandas are very prone to leaf spotting fungus but I'm not sure if that's what it is.

Yes, I was the one with the storm tree chaos. Thanks for you help! I didn't think it was sunburn, but I'm not going to lie, I was hoping for sunburn over fungus! I'll get to treating it ASAP!

Thank you! I'm on it, I'm going to treat the plant and take off the leaf. Man, this is not my week!! Lol!
