Smile, it is not just Ryan but all of you Boarders have been enabling me. Fugaku has been talked about on the board a lot lately. Like you my mind was saying......I want one.

Rosie my thought was the same when I saw this orchid....Wow. I am an senior so I figure I don't have the years to grow a seedling. I wish I had developed this passion earlier in life. :)

Ryan has influenced me with the pot making so you know I have been busily making a tall pot to house this new orchid. ;)

Gorgeous plant, Ginger. I just got a Fugaku this week, too.

Is this the pot you made? What made you decide on a tall pot? Just curious-- it's a nice presentation.

Mine remains in its stock pot as a pot befitting my new plant has not yet been made.

Red Orchid, <S> Ancient Japanese Toast: "May you live so long that your Fugaku blooms a hundred flowers." May it be so for you!

Matt that is so thoughtful & kind....thank you :blushing:

Ryan, no the orchid came potted in this tall pot. It is plastic, has air vents in it. I am afraid to change it for fear of bud blast. Smile, I used a beer pilsner as a mold and am making one of our clay pots so far it is a hot mess

Ryan this looks like a cymbidium pot I have no idea why they used it but you are correct it makes a nice presentation. Did you post a pic of your Fugaku I missed it.

Very nice!

Red, you can just pull it out of that pot and put it in a traditional Neo pot without fear. Just don't drop it...

P.S. Waiting for the Fugaku purchased last November to spike. Got an Amanagowa at the same time and it has five. Woo!
