Flower is about as big as my hand, but I am pretty happy with it.

Oh! And I almost forgot! The smell is not so bad about 1 foot+ away. Unfortunately I was curious and stuck my nose right in the flower. :faint:

Beautiful! I actually have a Bulbo. echinolabium x caraniculatum, flowers are a bit more yellow and the bottom petals (or sepals? =/) are more pendant.

The stench is indeed very bearable as long as you don't actually go smell the flower on purpose :)

folks at home tossed them out, twice I got them to bloom....doesnt help my bulbo stands are right under the kitchen window :D

perhaps different growing environment gives different "fragrance". I kept reading that folks dont really smell them unless you are really close to it, but here they stunk the whole garden...
