eplc. Charlie Brown 'Hawaii'
4 Attachment(s)
Hi everyone,
I have attached 4 pics of Eplc. Charlie Brown 'Hawaii' in full bloom (10 flowers) and it is the plant's first time blooming. The blooms are a red/orange and can look bright or deep/dark depending on the lighting. Irregardless, it is my favorite color in flowers. I don't know much about eplc's and cannot find too much written about them (there doesn't seem to be a lot of eplc varieties around). However, the blooms sure seem to last quite nicely and I am not doing anything special in its care.:) Thanks for looking, Greg. |
Very nice! OrchidWiz suggests indirect bright light and cool to warm conditions. Because of its parentage, it seems quite flexible for temps and takes standard cattleya culture.

Thanks for the nice and informative reply. I have around 150 house plants now, and 30 or so are orchids (mostly youngsters that will need more time to bloom). You are right in that this eplc. is an easy orchid to grow. I hope the other 29 follow this one's footsteps. Have you had a miserable early spring like we have had here in NE ND? Greg.

Interesting that the plant structure itself looks like a regular reed-stem epidendrum.

We had the worst spring on record in 114 years! We literally had feet of snow still just a few weeks ago. Now we seem to have regular beautiful May temps all of a sudden (thank goodness). |
Awesome! I have an Eplc. Volcano Trick - very un-fussy plant.

Thanks for the "awesome"! Greg. I found a pic of your Eplc. Volcano and it is beautiful.:)

Gorgeous!

Thanks for the "gorgeous". I looked at all 8 pages of your pics. Wow!!! I love the Blc. 'Rust Spot' (or something like that name), but is almost impossible to pick out one favorite. Greg.

That's a real beauty! I love that colour.
