Phalaenopsis bastianii
 

This one was not doing too much and just recently decided to spring into life with 18 flowers on 4 branching inflorescence.

:cheer: Looking really good, was obviously building up it's energy ready to give you lots of flowers :)

Great flowering, more like a bastianii x mariae.
Both were known as mariae till recent times & crossings like this are wide spread.
P. bastianii spikes should be vertical & not need support. Is it possible to get a clear close up of the lip please.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like you have yours in S/H? Has it been happy in S/H? I thought about transferring mine, but it needs to recouperate ATM, because its recovering from an evil mite attack! Arg

Definately in S/H. About 80% of my orchids are. The rest are mounted or waiting until new growth before repotting in S/H.

Almost all my phals transitioned into S/H easily and happily, except one Phal. beliina (it is very unhappy). Better results since I have been growing warmer (78-85°F). Had less success when growing in a cool basement.

I really like this species!!! It seems to get way to big for my little 30 gallon orchidarium though. Maybe when I win the lottery and get a giant greenhouse I'll get one.
